Chief Executive Officer

Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Caitlin Tanji is a first-year medical student and Class President for the Class of 2029 at the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine. An alumna of UCLA, where she earned her BS in Human Biology & Society, she is deeply committed to health advocacy and improving access to patient-centered care for underserved local communities. Currently, Caitlin serves as a Manager for the Ophthalmology Hawaiʻi HOME Clinic (Houseless Outreach and Medical Education), helping provide essential vision care and outreach services to people experiencing houselessness on O’ahu. Her dedication to medicine is informed by her experiences as a medical assistant, as well as her work in marketing and project management for a skin microbiome biotech startup. Her interest in ophthalmology is closely tied to serving Hawaiʻi’s kūpuna, with a focus on preserving vision, independence, and quality of life for older adults through equitable, compassionate, and accessible care.

Chief Operating Officer

Brooke Yasuda is a second year medical student at the John A Burns. School of Medicine. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA. She is interested in pursuing a career in ophthalmology and is currently the Co-Vice President of the Ophthalmology Interest Group at JABSOM and volunteers at the Hawaii Home Project Ophthalmology Clinic. Brooke is passionate about improving access to vision care and is excited to be a part of WikiVision so that she can play a role in expanding access to sight-restoring surgery for those who would otherwise go without care. Outside of medicine, she is an assistant coach for a local high school girls basketball team, where she enjoys mentoring and supporting young student athletes.

Chief Financial Officer

Cadie Young is an incoming medical student at John A. Burns School of Medicine. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and has spent the past two years working as an ophthalmic assistant under Dr. Troy Tanji and Dr. Mai Tsukikawa. Through this experience, she has witnessed firsthand how cataracts can significantly impact patients’ quality of life and is passionate about helping to restore vision through WikiVision.

Chief Information Officer

Gabriel Wong is a part of the class of 2027 at Punahou School. He has been associated with WikiVision for the past three years and has witnessed firsthand how cataracts affect every aspect of an individual’s life. He has worked hard to ensure the betterment of people’s lives throughout his time working with WikiVision, and is committed to continuing his endeavor through the next year.
